 Computer ethics in operating systems

An individual or group of people's behavior is governed by a set of moral standards known as ethics. The application of moral ideas to the usage of computers and the Internet is known as computer ethics. (Christensson,2021)

Ten commandments of computer ethics

1. Thou shalt not hurt others with a computer.

2. Thou shalt refrain from interfering with others' computer work.

3. Thou shalt not allowed to look at other people's computer files.

4. Thou shalt not commit theft using a computer.

5. Thou shalt not fabricate evidence using a computer.

6. Thou shalt not use or replicate any proprietary software that you have not paid for.

7. Thou shalt obtain permission or receive the appropriate pay before using someone else's computer resources.

8. Thou shalt not use someone else's ideas for your own.

9. When developing a programme or designing a system, you must consider how it will affect society.

10. Thou shalt always conduct yourself when using a computer so as to show concern and respect for others.
